It tightens like a hiking pole or painter’s pole. When held upright, just turn one section of the pole clockwise (righty), like the “righty-tighty, lefty-loosey” expression. Sometimes it takes several revolutions at first before it is ready to hold and after that, it only takes a partial turn to unlock, or lock in place.
Sometimes Aquablade users turn the blue part in the middle of the pole rather than just turning the yellow sections. The blue part does not have a role in tightening.
Poles can be like a ballpoint pen sometimes, so the internal mechanism might need a slight adjustment. Just tap the pole on the floor a couple of times.
One other tip is when the pole is fully extended, there is not enough threading to tighten the unit. While holding the pole at its longest extended length, slightly shorten it by about 1/2 inch or so to ensure the threading is exposed inside the pole.
These tips should work unless the pole is defective; we have found that these poles are quite reliable. The AquaBlade kit has a 2-year warranty against defects in manufacturing. I am getting streaks. Am I doing something wrong?
If there is a streak of water left behind when you swipe the AquaBLADE down your window, most likely there is debris, dust, or dirt on the silicone edge of the AquaBLADE. Just clean the edge of the blade with soapy water and a microfiber cloth, and the streak should no longer occur.
As well, you need to push a little, “Bend the blade” when drawing the Aquablade down your window. This will help with getting the window or mirror properly cleaned and will also eliminate squeaking noises.
I was very excited to try out my new aqua blade but as I was scrubbing my window the extender pole broke on its very first use!!! I was not using any excessive force, just scrubbing off some grime off the window which I’d expect a window washing tool to live up to this expectation. Very disappointed as it was working well for cleaning up until this point. They boast of European quality but I did not experience this.

Je vous écris à la suite de l’achat que j’ai effectué aujourd’hui le 6 avril au Salon de l’habitation à Brossard, concernant un ensemble AQUABLADE® (petite et grande), pour un montant 80.50 $ taxes incluses.
On m’a présenté le produit comme étant extrêmement efficace, simple d’utilisation et laissant un résultat sans traces, que ce soit sur des fenêtres, miroirs ou autres surfaces vitrées. De plus, on m’a mentionné qu’une garantie de satisfaction de 30 jours s’appliquait à cet achat, ce qui m’a convaincue d’essayer le produit.
Malheureusement, après l’avoir testé aujourd’hui même sur différentes surfaces (porte patio, deux types de portes-miroirs, fenêtres), je dois dire que je suis franchement déçue. L’eau coule à côté et sur le plancher même avec l’accessoire censé la retenir rendant le produit difficilement utilisable à l’intérieur. De plus, le nettoyage laisse des traces même en l'utilisant adéquatement, soit la lame à 90 . J'ai même regardé la vidéo sur Youtube afin de m' assurer que je l'utilisais adéquatement. Peu importe la manière utilisée, il reste des traces. Les résultats ne correspondent pas du tout à ce qui a été démontré ou promis.
Étant donné que ce produit ne répond pas à mes attentes, je souhaite exercer la garantie de satisfaction et obtenir un remboursement complet. Les raclettes sont en parfait état, utilisées une seule fois.

Bought this several months ago and just attempted to use it today. There were missing crucial parts: small squeegee and tray to catch the water. What I got was a very expensive squeegee and one microfiber cloth. Water all over the floor.
Where is quality control before you ship
Products out? This kit is virtually unusable and I paid a lot for it.
I love the squeegee window washing system. It cleans without streaks and works inside the house. One suggestion, it would be great if you offered just a replacement for the plastic squeegee and water catcher. That part of mine were lost in the hurricane. Had to buy a completely new system when I my needed those pieces. 😜❤️

Streaks galore and you can only pull top to bottom otherwise water runs everywhere. Love the concept but hate how it works, definitely returning!
We are sorry to hear that you are having some issues with the Aquablade.
When using the AquaBLADE, it's important to 'bend the blade' at close to a 90˚ angle on the surface you're cleaning. This technique helps avoid squeaking, allows the blade to catch all the water in the drip tray, and delivers the best results. If the blade is not pushed against the window it is possible that it could leave a streak in the middle.
